Session recording is available to all Premium customers using GP4 version 4.1 or later.

Session recordings are stored on our servers. If you have the need to download a GatherPlace recording, please see this article: KB 316
You can view a recording from any browser anywhere with Java 1.3 or higher or by using the free GP4 client for hosts or guests.
| Note: | Audio playback is under development for Macintosh guests using a web browser to view a recorded session that contains audio. Mac guests can download the Guest version of GP4 for free here which will allow them to hear the audio portion until the web viewer has the capability to play sound [System requirements]. |
Steps to Record a Session
- Host a session with GP4 version 4.1 or higher and start presenting.
- Click the Recorder (
) button on the GP4 interface to open the Recorder dialog.
- Enter a Recording Name and click the Record (
) button on the Recorder dialog.

- When you are done recording, click the Record (
) button again and the recording will stop.
- To play back or manage your recordings, click the Open Library button.
