Knowledge Base » [639166] Why do I get an 'Error 1000' when I join a meeting or play a recording?
Product or Service: StudyPlace, GatherPlace
Client Software: GP5
User Type: Family, Student, Host, Guest, Administrator, Teacher
The Error 1000 is a result of the user agent string being modified before it is sent to the meeting or recording servers when trying to join a meeting/recording.
The typical cause is either a content filter, anti-virus software or other security software installed on the computer.

If you receive this error, try temporarily disabling the content filter or security software, restart the GP5 program and try joining the meeting or playing back the recording again to determine what is causing the issue.
If there are more than one of these types of software installed you will need to disable them one at a time to find out which one is the cause.

Known software that causes this issue:
  • Intego VirusBarrier (Macintosh)
