Is the Linux operating system supported?
Guests running a Linux operating system can join GatherPlace meetings using either a Java enabled browser, or the SureView viewer* when Java is not installed.
Hosting a GatherPlace meeting on Linux is not officially supported but there are many Linux users who are successfully hosting meetings when Java is installed and properly configured in their browsers.

To see if your browser has Java installed correctly, try the Sun Java test on the Sun site at: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
If Java is not installed or configured for your browser, there are many resources available on the Internet regarding the various flavors of Linux and configuring the different browsers that are available.

Currently there is no Linux support for hosting with GP4, or for guests using GP4 to join meetings.

*The SureView viewer is a new GatherPlace patent pending technology which allows any modern graphics enabled browser to display a GatherPlace presentation.
