Normally users do not need to interact with Plist files on a Macintosh computer. However, there may be occasions when the GP5 support staff may need a copy of the GP5 Plist in order to troubleshoot technical issues with the program.
The Plist for the GP5 program can be found at: <Hard drive>/Users/<current user>/Library/Preferences/com.gatherworks.OmniView.plist The detailed steps to navigate to the folder location are shown below.
Double-click on the hard drive icon on the desktop.
Scroll to the Users folder and Double-click it to open it.
Find your user folder and double-click it to open it. Your user folder is named the same as your login account name on the Mac.
Double-click on the Library folder to open it.
Double-click on the Preferences folder to open it.
Scroll down until you find the com.gatherworks.OmniView.plist file. This is the Plist file for GP5.
If you need to make a copy of the Plist, control-click on the file and select the Duplicate option from the menu.
A copy of the Plist will appear in the Preferences folder as shown below.
You can drag the copy to the desktop so it's easy to find if you need to send it to Support.
