To install GP4 on a Mac, download the
latest version, open the disk image that downloaded and open the
GP4-template that gets mounted on the desktop. Then follow the steps inside the GP4-template window.
Note: In order to see the instructions once you open the
GP4-template, you may need to set the
View of the
GP4-template window to
as Icons if your default view is something other.

Detailed Steps to Download and Install GP4 on a Mac
- Download the latest version of the disk image (DMG) file.
- Locate the downloaded setup-gp4.dmg disk image file (below) and double-click it.

- If the GP4-template window (below) does not open automatically, double-click the GP4-template icon (shown above) to open it.

- If your GP4-template window View is not set to as Icons (as shown above), use the View menu to set it to as Icons.

- Once the view is set to as Icons, click and drag the GP4 icon (A) to the Applications folder (B) and drop it.
NOTE: Do Not double-click on the "A" icon to run GP4. Doing so will limit the functionality GP4 and it will not be installed in the Applications folder on the Mac.

- To start GP4, double-click the GP4 alias icon (C).
Note for hosts, teachers and students: Make sure to enter your username and password in the Account Setup Preferences and click the
Validate Account button.
