The steps below will guide you through the
install or
uninstall process for the GatherPlace GP4 software on Windows and Macintosh computers.
- Go to the Start menu > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs.
- Find GP4 Web Conferencing in the programs list.
- Select it and click the Change/Remove button.
- Select Yes if it asks you to kill the running copy/version.
- Select Yes if it asks to remove the preferences.
- Go to the Start menu > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Find GP4 Web Conferencing in the list.
- Select it and click the Uninstall/Change button.
- Select Yes if it asks you to kill the running copy/version.
- Select Yes if it asks to remove the preferences.
- Fine the GP4 application on the hard drive (usually installed in the Applications folder).
- Drag the GP4 application to the trash.
- Empty the trash.
Note: You must be logged into the PC with an administrator account to install GP4. See
this article to find out if you are logged in as an administrator.
- Go to: http://www.gatherplace.com/client/ (StudyPlace users please go to the StudyPlace Support website for downloads).
- Click the link for the version and features desired.
- The new software will download automatically.
- Enter your account information if required and click the Validate Account button after starting the new version of GP4.
Note: You must be logged into the PC with an administrator account to install GP4. See
this article to find out if you are logged in as an administrator.
- Go to: http://www.gatherplace.com/client/ (StudyPlace users please go to the StudyPlace Support website for downloads).
- Click the link for the version and features desired to download the installer file.
- Locate the installer file downloaded in the previous step and double-click it to install the new software.
- Enter your account information if required and click the Validate Account button after starting the new version of GP4.
